Privacy Policy
This policy explains how your personal data is processed within the Reçber mobile application and the recbertarim.com web service (together, the “Service”) in accordance with Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and related legislation. You expressly accept this policy during sign-up; continuing to use the Service also constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: e-mail address, full name, username, password (passwords are stored as irreversible hashes).
- Location: your instantaneous location, only while the app is in use, to show weather and land information for where you are. No background location tracking is performed.
- Agricultural data: land boundaries you add, soil analysis results, planting/project records, cost and daily log entries.
- Photos: only the profile photo you choose; camera and gallery access is optional.
- Device and usage data: push notification token, app version, error logs and anonymized usage statistics.
2. Purposes of Processing
- Producing land-specific weather forecasts, irrigation/spraying suitability and frost warnings,
- Providing calendar, phenology and cost tracking for your planting projects,
- Sending the notifications you request (weather alerts, calendar reminders),
- Ensuring the security of the Service and fixing errors,
- Fulfilling legal obligations.
3. Service Providers Processing Data
Your data is processed through the following sub-processors, and only to the extent the Service requires: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), Google Cloud Vertex AI (AI analysis; European region), PostHog (anonymous usage analytics), Resend (account verification and informational e-mails), Open-Meteo (weather data; only land coordinates are transmitted), Sentinel Hub (satellite imagery; only land coordinates are transmitted), Esri/ArcGIS and MapTiler (map imagery; only the displayed map region is transmitted). Your data is never sold to third parties.
4. Processing of Data Abroad
The servers of the sub-processors above are located abroad (primarily in the European Union; the database is in Frankfurt, Germany). Pursuant to Article 9 of the KVKK, your personal data is hosted and processed on these servers based on the explicit consent you give during sign-up. You may withdraw your explicit consent at any time by deleting your account.
5. Retention Period
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable technical period; records subject to statutory retention obligations are destroyed at the end of those periods.
6. Your Rights under the KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to claim compensation if you suffer damage. To exercise these rights, use the Settings → Account section in the app or the contact address below.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by sending an e-mail to info@recbertarim.com. For detailed steps see Account & Data Deletion.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed at users under 18, and no data is knowingly collected from children.
9. Changes
Updates to this policy are published on this page; significant changes are additionally announced in the app.
